ABOUT ME
My name is Kelby Haugabook. Ever since I was in fourth grade, painting has been a passion of mine. I began taking lessons outside of school and I developed skills as an artist. I have entered many art shows, I also have donated and entered my pieces into auctions for charity fundraisers. During my senior year of high school, I painted two large pieces of aquariums with different species of fish for The Children's Hospital, in Macon, Georgia. They are currently hanging in the children's cancer treatment rooms. Through painting, I have gained a natural eye for color, line, contrast, and proportion which are all key elements in a functioning design. Design is a major component in the daily function of our lives. I have always been adamant about the emotional effects a desirable, functional space can bring to a client. Upon entering college, I knew I wanted to be able to create this happiness for future clients of my own one day. I applied to the Interior Design program in 2010, and I began the process in fulfilling my dream.
I have graduated from Georgia Southern University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Interior Design and a Minor in Studio Art, which is CIDA and NASAD Accredited. My education has given me hands-on experience with software including AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator. I also have developed excellent skills in sketching and rendering. I have been able to gain knowledge in creating construction documents, project presentation boards, drawings, and product specifications. Currently, I am in search of a full-time or part-time job position where I can express and enhance my passion for design, and work along the side of my successful business, Kelby's Original Art, LLC.
